The 'Arete' EP, initially released on December 5, 2019, has now celebrated its four-year milestone and has garnered substantial recognition. Following its release, I unveiled "The Hex Sessions" and "The Envy Sessions" in 2021, each containing remastered versions of the title tracks, along with various remixes and demos. In June of 2022, "The Isolation Sessions" was introduced under a new distributor, DistroKid, accompanied by the relocation of the 'Arete,' 'Glock,' and 'The Prognosticator Mix' singles. However, the ‘Hex' and 'Envy Sessions' were excluded, only to be removed later in an effort to clean the catalog and eliminate confusion stemming from varying classification methods by different streaming providers.
The Deluxe Edition of Arete is comprised of 6 of the best 14 from those collections based on analytical data from streaming service providers.

The logistics of music delivery has evolved dramatically in recent years. Streaming music providers are now embracing high-definition audio, characterized by a bit rate of 24-bit and a sampling rate of 48kHz or higher. When 'Arete' was first submitted in 2019, the requisite specifications for masters were set at a bit rate of 16-bit and a sampling rate of 44.1kHz, aligning with CD audio quality. However, the process of transmitting my recordings from the studio, through my distributor, and to the streaming platforms resulted in modifications and compression that altered the auditory experience for the listener.
The vinyl edition of 'Arete' provides a warm and punchy auditory experience, complete with an aesthetically appealing picture disc printed on both sides. In contrast, the CD edition offers a purer representation of the artistic intent. With its uncompressed audio, it conveys all the sonic impact and expansive depth as intended, allowing the music's powerful resonances and intricacies to hit with vigor. This remastered version aligns more closely with the advancing standards of today's music consumption, ensuring that listeners receive the optimal experience that I envisioned.

I did not initially compose or produce the music on “Arete” with the Dolby Atmos format in mind, as this technology was not a feasible option during the creation process. Adapting the music to this format would necessitate a complete remix of the audio from the foundational tracks, an endeavor I am not inclined to undertake. I am satisfied with the existing audio levels, which reflect my exact intentions. My focus is directed towards generating new music rather than retrofitting adifying the old.
While it is technically feasible to transform a stereo mix into Dolby Atmos, my personal experience has demonstrated that the results can be inconsistent. An illustrative example of this inconsistency came when I listened to one of my cherished albums, "Appetite For Destruction," in Atmos. Utilizing suitable headphones, I found the audio quality to be disappointing, rendering the album's intensity diminished and its sound uncharacteristically weak and subdued. An iconic work like "Appetite for Destruction" should not be subject to such a compromise.
The financial burden associated with converting to Atmos is considerable, leading me to await a reduction in production costs. In forthcoming endeavors, I will certainly take the Atmos format into consideration during the writing and producing stages. However, I will withhold releasing music in this format until I am assured of its readiness.
Certain albums are crafted to be enjoyed in their original form, and I am of the belief that they should retain their authenticity. My album "Arete" exemplifies this philosophy, and I have resolved to preserve its current state.

"Arete (Remastered)” and "Arete (Remastered) Deluxe Edition" were built upon the original stereo mixes. The refreshed mix is subtly amplified, and I've instilled greater clarity, enabling listeners to perceive more nuanced details. Previously subdued elements have been emphasized through precise phasing and mono-stereo frequency adjustments. Tracks like 'Adept' were meticulously recalibrated; the overpowering kick drum, which previously overshadowed certain orchestral aspects, has been tempered. Techniques such as quad-band compression, subtle reverb, and equalization have rectified issues and enhanced the audio quality, eliminating the stuffiness that afflicted the originals when streamed. The bass in tracks like 'Isolation' has been enriched, allowing listeners to not just hear but feel its resonance. This fine-tuning manifests the auditory experience I intended for the listener.
